Description

The Art History minor permits the motivated student opportunity to do concentrated study in the field of Art History. Successful completion of the Art History minor may prepare the student to do graduate study in Art History or Museum Studies, or for work in art galleries, auction houses, and related institutions.

Academic Policy

Minor programs are governed by the minor policy published on the the enrollment & registration page in the policies area of the catalogue.

Admission to the Minor

CAMD	Open to all students.
CPA	Open to all students.
DLA	Open to all students.

Program Requirements

Art History Minor

Select one of the following:

AHST 201 Akhenaton and the Amarna Period: Revolution and Reaction in Ancient Egypt 3 credits
AHST 202 Ancient Art 3 credits
AHST 203 Art in Renaissance Europe 3 credits
AHST 204 Baroque Art 3 credits
AHST 401 Michelangelo 3 credits
AHST 402 Rembrandt 3 credits
AHST 406 Spanish Artists: El Greco, Vel 3 credits

Select four courses from the following:

Any courses from subject AHST; AHST 101 and AHST 102 are not applicable to this requirement
PRNT 300 History of the Print 3 credits
