AHST 201 Akhenaton and the Amarna Period: Revolution and Reaction in Ancient EgyptDivision of Liberal Arts
3 credits 45.0 hours 200 level undergraduate course
This course examines the Amarna Period of the Egyptian New Kingdom and its most famous ruler, Akhenaten. The course will review the history of the Old and Middle Kingdoms as prelude to the study of Akhenaten’s revolutionary reign.
Prerequisites COMP*102, COMP*102E, COMP*112, or COMP*112H
This course is not repeatable for credit. This course can fulfill an art history elective, liberal arts elective, or free elective requirement.
