Description
The University Common Curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary thinking and collaborative processes as a central cross-university curriculum for all undergraduate students in the University of the Arts. The UCC consists of 4.5 credits addressing two related content areas, Creative Practices and Collaborative Studio. Creative Practices, a 1.5 credit requirement, focuses on introducing a range of contemporary practices across the creative disciplines, and Collaborative Studio, a 3.0 credit requirement, is offered as a set of course options focusing on the collaborative creation of student-directed projects.
Program Objectives
- Observe and experience a broad range of cultural and artistic events, especially those that cross and combine disciplines.
- Demonstrate individual and group skills, processes, and activities in the successful completion of collaborative projects.
