WRIT 324 - Screenplay Adaptation The vast number of theatrical and television films adapted from fictional and nonfiction sources make it essential that emerging screenwriters understand the art of adaptation. Following an introduction to the basics of adaptation, this course analyzes three movies adapted from fictional sources (novels, short stories, etc.) and three from nonfiction sources (e.g. books and magazine journalism.) Creative written work from both is integrated into the course. Formerly WM 314
