Description

The minor in screenwriting provides instruction and applied experience in the art and craft of screenwriting for motion pictures, television, streaming and/or the web, either live action or animated. Topics include storytelling strategies for a variety of formats, structure, plot, conflict, character development, dialogue, and industry script formats. Students advance from scene exercises through short scripts to major, professional-length portfolio pieces, and will choose either a series or feature film track. 

Students pursuing a BFA in Screenwriting are not permitted to enroll in this minor.
