C O N T E N T S
Description
The Business minor is a 15-creditprogram designed for students who are interested in learning more about general business practices and procedures. This is a University-wide minor that is open to all students across campus except for MBET students; this program is embedded into their core requirements. The program content includes coursework in general business, marketing, finance, business planning, and entrepreneurship.
Academic Policy
Minor programs are governed by the minor policy published on the the enrollment & attendance page in the policies area of the catalogue.
Program Objectives
Students enrolled in the minor will:
- Possess essential business knowledge in the foundational areas of marketing, communications, and business, contract, and entertainment law.
- Possess advanced writing and presentation skills.
- Understand e-commerce and be able to identify and use emerging technologies.
- Collaborate and partner with other University students and departments, as well as professional organizations.
- Be information literate, aware, resourceful, and problem-solving critical thinkers.
