Description

At the heart of the Wood/Furniture minor is thinking through making. Wood students are passionate about working with their hands. By engaging with material and process they discover the ideas and concepts that underlie their art. Technical instruction is balanced with investigation of meaning and content. Work produced ranges from studio furniture to wood art to experimental/new genres. Students experience personal control of all aspects of making, from initial design to final finished piece.

Admission to the Minor

CAMD	Open to all students excluding those pursuing a BFA in Craft + Material Studies with a Wood/Furniture concentration.
CPA	Open to all students.
DLA	Open to all students.
