IDES 101 - Freshman I.D. This course introduces first-year students to the issues surrounding the profession and highlights its importance in informing culture and shaping the way we live. Students are exposed to the fundamental skills required to support the process of concept ideation, design development, and presentation of products and furniture. These fundamentals are introduced through in-class exercises, lectures by visiting professionals, and direct involvement in relevant activities within the Industrial Design Department itself. Prerequisites & Notes Priority enrollment to Foundation majors. Student must NOT have completed the second semester of their Sophomore year (45 credits).
