FAPT 214 - Abstract Drawing An assignment-critique format, which examines the nature of abstraction in the context of drawing disciplines. Options in media, tools, methods, and formats are considered in relation to the purposes of a given project. In general, abstraction calls for an appreciation of the intrinsic properties of the materials used in a work, the formal characteristics of toolmarkings, and the significance of pictorial structures.
