FILM 10010 Cinematography

Students will learn the basics of cinematography with an emphasis on artful and effective storytelling. Topics and techniques covered include: Basic lighting techniques - including working with both natural light and studio lights, using a light meter; Composition - understand how framing and composition impact emotion and storytelling; Camera Movement - learn techniques for both handheld shooting and working with the Ronin gimbal system; On Set Collaboration - understand the jobs of each crew member and how a director of photography leads the camera crew
