ETEC 661 Game-Based Learning in the Classroom, Introductory

600 level graduate course

This course will provide educators an opportunity to explore the principles, processes and theories of game-based learning and the symbiotic relationship between games, play and learning. Educators will learn about the fundamental elements of game-based learning as well as explore current trends such as digital games, data analytics, and badges. Educators will analyze the characteristics and applications of games for various learning needs and will develop a final project for their own classroom that helps them advance classroom play into successful learning.

Open to graduate students from the Division of Continuing Studies.
This course is not repeatable for credit.
This course may not be audited.
This course cannot be taken pass/fail.
