PHOT 359 The Photographer’s Eye

This course teaches students to develop a visual photographic style. By employing a refined understanding of composition, exposure, the use of light and shadow, students will complete assignments in a direction of their own choosing. Emphasis will be placed on visual strategies and on the technical aspects of lens-based making. The end goal of the course will be to provide students with greater confidence in their image making practice.

Prerequisites PHOT*101 or PHOT*200

Priority enrollment for Photography majors; Photo + Film majors; Photography and Studio Photography minors.
This course is not repeatable for credit.
