FILM 311 Advanced Narrative Production
3 credits 90.0 hours 300 level undergraduate course
Students in this film production course explore a variety of narrative strategies, contrasting classical and alternative modes relating to plot, characterization, theme, style and genre. Additional topics include the social meanings of narratives and various economic and industrial pressures upon narrative content. Students will produce and direct their own short films that incorporate the concepts and skills learned from lectures and screenings. Students also crew on classmates’ films to further build technical and collaborative skills.
