PHOT 111 Photographs in Sequence

This studio course asks students to think beyond the single photographic frame and to develop a body of work in black and white. The use of digital tools as a method for creative expression and for the management of content in photography is emphasized. Students will learn best practices in digital technologies including keywording, metadata tagging, file preparation, and fine art inkjet printing. Composition and the use of light will be refined. Lectures, presentations, and studio assignments will cover the technical as well as creative and conceptual aspects of the medium.
