PRNT 673 The Visual Voice: Image, Language & Typography

This course will focus on the development of each student’s independent visual voice in applied, investigative and experimental elements of typography, design, book arts and printmaking. Projects will focus on exploring the relationship between text and image and an integration of the fine and design arts. The grid and essential design elements will be covered in order to institute an understanding of typographic canons. A myriad of digital exercises will complement major projects completed over the semester.

Priority enrollment to graduate Book Arts majors.
