FMST 205 Renoir to Parkour: French Film History

This course examines the past century of French
cinema through a selection of some of its most
important films and most influential auteurs,
genres, and movements, to contemplate how French
cinema shapes and is shaped by aesthetic trends,
sociopolitical shifts, and evolving
understandings of national identity.

Prerequisites COMP*102, COMP*102D, COMP*102E, COMP*112, or COMP*112H
