DANC 671 Proseminar: Collaborative Practices



2 credits 30.0 hours
600 level graduate course

Designed to expand potentialities through direct interplay with communities and practitioners (both local and international), students will learn about the possibilities of sharing resources, scholarship and fields of interest for future engagement. This course will set the ground-work for Field Study LABS. The course challenges students to examine where their practice intersects directly with the public. How can dance artists work alongside a variety practitioners and professionals from varying disciplines to share and combine skills? A seminar format, this course will include community partners, site visits and an in-class lecture series. By the end of the course, students will be expected to submit a Field Study proposal.

Open only to MFA in Dance majors.
This course is not repeatable for credit.
