THPD 441 Guest Artist Seminar IICollege of Performing Arts Ira Brind School of Theater Arts
1.5 credits 45.0 hours 400 level undergraduate course
A second seminar that explores current practices of directing, playwriting and production. The seminar provides practical advice and professional perspective from an innovator in the field of professional theater. Through discussions, exploration and exposure to working practitioners, the student develops her/his point of view as a theater artist and explores how each individual artist’s skills and vision can fit into and flourish in the professional landscape. Both Guest Artist Seminar I and Guest Artist Seminar II are required for a Directing, Playwriting and Production degree, but they may be taken out of order.
Prerequisites THEA*499
Open only to DPP majors. This course is not repeatable for credit.
