DANC 652 Pedagogic Practice Lab

600 level graduate course

Students are given opportunities to consider and locate their practice within the framework of current development trends, methods and challenges of contemporary dance pedagogy. The LABS take the form of a series of workshops, and include both lecture/discussion and studio formats. The LABS create an opportunity for students to be in direct dialogue with a variety of internationally recognized pedagogues. (examples include: Dance as an art form in relation to dance pedagogy, somatic approaches, the role of technology, assessment tools within higher education)

Open only to MFA in Dance majors.
This course may be completed 2 times for credit.
